We are so grateful for another extraordinary year of interviews on the Pgh Dreamer’s Pod! Women creators, thinkers, and entrepreneurs from all over the Pittsburgh area shared their incredible journeys, challenges, and guidance.

Stephanie and Kaylee Dockerty of Flourish Therapy were our first sister duo, and they advised us to go with our gut when it comes to your career. Gabrielle Skillings of The Gifted Hands Cupcake Shoppe took her love of baking and created something beautiful for the entire Greensburg area. Nikki Heller, owner of Spa REBE, is another gem of Greensburg, providing unique customized skin treatments for all her clients. Stephanie Kirby of Blue Daisy Floral Designs shared how she manages her small team in a people-are-not-resources way. And founder of Her Promise Circle, Michal Carlock was our first guest to take what she learned in Pittsburgh and establish new roots in a more supportive environment for her dreams!

Holly Teegarden of Moodporium opened our eyes to the benefits of CBD and other carefully selected items for aging women. Carrie Nardini, founder of I Made It Market and The Neighborhood Flea, demonstrated her community spirit through engaging stories of how she collaborates with artists across the Burgh. Erin Cridlebaugh, third generation artist and cartographer, creates amazing wooden maps out of her shop Squirrel Hill Design and Craft. Dr. Natalie Gentile took an unconventional approach to providing direct primary care whilst also offering healthy lifestyle services via Rebel Wellness. Melinda Colaizzi of Women Who Rock, has rocked support for women’s health through her partnership with Magee Women’s Research Institute. And Lily Johnson, owner of Golden Lotus Doula Services and Burgh Babies Photography, continues to provide women with necessary care during maternity.

Rebecca Harrison of Old Flame Mending shared her sustainability values, mending clothes and keeping them out of landfills. Love, Pittsburgh owners Kelly Sanders and Monica Grunick were our first friend-owned business, and they demonstrated a genuine admiration for each other in addition to all of the wonderful artists showcased at their multiple store locations. Erica Parr of Closet Rehab led us through her initial corporate journey to leaving it all behind for her artistic passion. Greta Falvo Cicero similarly transitioned from working in media to making her love of candles into a full time business with Soyil Candles.

Erin Gatz, founder of Prototype Pgh, was our first non-profit interview of 2024 – and the incredible work she is doing for all genders and races is truly a testament to her love of community. Reagan Carter, our youngest interviewee thus far, shared her story of growing up on a farm and taking a chance by introducing the Burgh to her highland cattle at Hickory Hearth Highlands while still in college. Nina Barbuto demonstrated how important it is for our youth to have equal access to transformative experiences and technological tools through her non-profit organization called Assemble.

As a stay-at-home mom of 2, Nena Jenkins established a flourishing business out of her kitchen with her beautifully decorated Bell’s Custom Cookies. Danielle Spinola of Abeille Voyante Tea Company journeyed across the globe to find her inspiration for bringing Eastern tea customs to the Burgh. And last but certainly not least, Luciana Brussi also traveled all over the globe to support her family through dance, and she has now created a welcoming and culturally-diverse family at her studio Lua Dance Club.

If you haven’t listened to these inspiring women, make sure to check out Pgh Dreamer’s Pod on Spotify. And stay tuned for another amazing year of relatable journeys and encouraging advice!
